The Methods Used To Make Custom Engraved Pens

Custom Engraved Pens is perhaps rarely chosen as the type of pen to give out for promotional purposes, but this is not to say it is inferior than other options. Quite the contrary, they are actually considered as the high-end variety of promotional pens. Hence the reasons they are not chosen as large scale promotional material. The intricate process and quite steep cost may put a strain in the budget if the purpose is to hand out to random people. It, however, is typically chosen as a personalized gift for loyal customers.
Unlike other type of printing, engraving involves both amplifying light as well as applying a certain amount of electricity to create laser – or optical beam, as many would call it. This optical beam is the one that does the work. Properly etches the predetermined design on the surface of the product.
Different methods for different materials
There are two different methods of engraving; the first one uses CO2 laser, whereas the other one uses YAG laser. Both of these methods are used depending on the surface of the product. CO2 laser is typically used to engraved a product made of metal pens and one that has been painted; whereas the YAG laser has the ability to perfectly match the tonal effect of the original material used. All he aforementioned methods are suitable for custom pens required to be in standing position when used.
Fountain pen, or ink pen as many would call it, is one of the types of pen that should be kept in standing position for continuous use. This is the reason why when we talk about engraved pen, we always end up with Fountain pen.
Not only that, engraving is also best suited for pens which will be exposed to harsh, or extreme environments. Furthermore, with the major advantage of it being a pen that is incredibly eco-friendly with permanent, elegant finish, it shouldn’t be a surprise they are only made for loyal customers.
